Credit Deficiency Options for 2026-2027
If an incoming student is in a credit deficit, the sending school has several options:
- Student enrolls in a class at Randolph Union High School, if available (Paid for by your district).
- Student meets virtually, before school, or after school for independent check-ins with an instructor from their sending school and that instructor grades the work.
- Independent study (Student will be truly independently working, with their final work graded by an Academic Teacher at RTCC). This option is available on a limited basis due to high demand and will prioritize Seniors.
- Student enrolls in an online class and is provided space to work on this independently at RTCC (Paid for by your district).
Independent Study Credits at RTCC are equal to a .5 credit
Please create and articulate a plan for your student to fulfill any credit deficits. RTCC is not responsible for creating plans for credit deficits, however, we will strive to support the student in any way possible.
